Artistic Residency
In early 2024 I was selected for the Artist in Residence program at Domestic Data Streamers, a Barcelona-based studio that explores data through art and creates installations worldwide.
My proposal centered on one of the most essential questions of existence: death. When are we going to die? This inquiry emerged from my own intimate encounter with life itself, as I had recently become a mother.
The work delved into opposites and paradoxes, unfolding dialogues in the marketplace—where the flow of people, the waiting, and the casual exchanges among fish buyers formed a backdrop. The fish, already lifeless yet displayed as everyday goods, became a crucial symbol: a reminder of mortality present within the most ordinary rhythms of life.
